Our New Home!

Well we have moved again! This is the 12th move that David and I have made in our almost 10 year marriage, and was definitely one of our hardest moves. David was right in the middle of turn-around, so we only had two days to get all of the big stuffed moved over, and then I had to get everything else done. With being sick with bronchitis, dealing with kidney issues still, being a single-mom (because David was never home), and with all the driving and packing and putting stuff away I had to do, I was extremely exhausted! Right in the middle of the move, the owner of the previous home called and said she had a showing on it the next morning. I remember just falling to my knees and just crying. I don't think I have ever been so tired.

We have been so blessed with this new home! When the owner of the our previous home called and told me she was putting it on the market, I didn't know what we were going to do. We don't  live in a place that has ANY rental places, and with having to short sale our home in Green River, we don't have any other choice for a couple of years. We went and looked at a few places in Riverton, that were HORRIBLE and very highly priced. When I say horrible, I mean unlivable. We really didn't know what we were going to do. Then, one day, the owner of the previous home (who manages this home) called us, and let us know that this home came available suddenly. When I drove over to look at it, I could believe it! I couldn't believe that we were being blessed AGAIN with such a beautiful home! Plus, the owner of this home is probably going to be able to work out some kind of owner finance program, so we can purchase this home! I don't know what we have done do deserve how much we have been blessed!

The kids have had to make quite an adjustment with moving schools. Spencer more so than Shaelyn. Spencer is really shy, so it took him a while to get used to new people and a new place, but he is doing SO much better now.... The schools over here seem like they are doing a lot more academically, so that has been a little bit of a struggle too, but I am very impressed with the schools over here compared to Riverton.

We are so happy here, and are hoping to be here for a long time. But we know that if we aren't, we will be taken care of, because we always have been. :)

Thermopollis!

A couple of weeks ago we were able to make a trip up to Thermopolis, to take the kids to the hot springs. It was a VERY fun day! We were able to take the kids to the pool and also walk along the boardwalks they have and look at the hot springs.

They also had a large bridge that went over the river, that was built a really long time ago, that actually moves when you walk on it. Needless to say, it took me forever to even step on the bridge. I was scared to death!

The outside pool...

The hot spring pools were really fun for the kids. The water was really warm, which was good for Izzy. When we take her to the pool, she has fun, but she is always shaking because she is so cold. There were 2 pools, 3 waterslides, and 3 very happy kids. It was a great day!

Our Yard!

Well we have been extremely busy trying to get our yard ready for grass. A few weeks ago, we were able to get sod layed, and we absolutely LOVE it! We ordered 17 pallets, and when all the grass got here, we seriously thought we ordered WAY too much, but we used almost all of it. Our good friends, Arlin & Shannon, came up that weekend to help.....and are so thankful to them. If David and I would've had to do it all ourselves, we wouldn't have been able to move for a week. :) We are so thankful for such good friends! We love our yard, and are amazed with how good it's done so far. It makes the world of difference when you have a yard for your kids to play on.

                                                                  Before...

We had two of these....full of grass.

Two weeks later...

My Baby is 3!

My Sweet baby girl, Isabelle, turned 3 on June 23rd. I still cannot believe that she is 3. Every year on her birthday is a great time of reflection for me. Its not only the day she is born, but also the day I almost lost my life. So every year on her birthday, I am extremely grateful for another year with my wonderful, beautiful, family. The past three years have not been easy, but I know every day how blessed I am when I look at my beautiful baby.
Shortly after we met for the first time

Isabelle and I have an extra special connection. After I had her, her grandparents took her home, because I needed to stay in the hospital and  recover. I couldn't handle it. My depression overtook me, and got so bad. I told them to bring her back to me. After I was life lighted to Salt Lake, they brought her down to me, and the hospital allowed her to stay with me. It was amazing what she did for me and my spirits when she was around. I just needed to hold her in my arms, and I felt like everything was going to be ok. I have had nine total surgeries the past three years, so it's been rough....but that special bond with Isabelle and I, is the one thing that has gotten me through it all. If I am ever had a really rough day, I wasn't feeling good, or my spirits were really down, all I had to do is hold her. She has been the one and only thing in my life that has had that effect on me. She has been my greatest source of comfort. I know heavenly father gave us this special connection for a reason. She is definitely my angel sent from heaven, and I a will forever be grateful to my Father in Heaven for giving me a second chance. I love you Isabelle Lois.  Thank you for all you do for me. :)

T-Ball

This was Spencer's first year playing T-Ball, and he absolutely LOVED it. He couldn't get enough of it. We have had him in soccer, but didn't show near as much interest as he did with baseball. It is so fun being a mom, and watching them grow and learn new things. It is amazing seeing the world through their eyes...it makes me learn a lot. I'm sure he is going to be playing baseball for many years to come. I sure do love this little guy.

Shaelyn's Baptism

On June 4th, Shaelyn was Baptised and became a member of the church. We couldn't have been happier! We cannot believe how fast our baby girl is growing up! We really wish time would slow down....a lot! It was a very special day for her! She had both sets of grandparents come up for this special day, as well as her Uncle Jeff, Aunt Emilee, Uncle Mikey, Aunt Laurel, Cousins Kate & Joshua, and our good friend Brandie Spalding, and her two adorable little boys. It really meant a lot to her that all of these people wanted to share such a special day of her life with her. She had been looking forward to this day for over a year, which couldn't have made us more proud. She has such a sweet spirit, and is such a good example for us, as well as to her brother and her sister.  We love you Shaelyn, and are so proud of you and this wonderful decision that you have made.

Izzy and her baby....

Izzy is absolutely adorable with her babies....she has to take them everywhere with her. Every meal when we sit down to eat, she sets a place for her baby, with a special chair, and even sets her out some of her own food. I think it is the cutest thing ever.

Yard Progress...

I thought I would share a few pictures of the progress that we've made with the yard. When I say "we" I really mean David, he's been doing most of the work, while I haven't been feeling good. It is sure coming along, and looks great! All we need now is some GRASS! We cannot wait for grass, especially the kids!

Our Garden!

We have been so excited this year, because it's the first year we get to have a garden. We've wanted one for a while, but in our old house we didn't really have the room. We started growing things in the house about a month or so ago, and could not believe how big our plants got so fast. We have started working on it outside, and have made quite the progress. We even put up weed barriers between everything, to make things a little easier later. So far we have planted corn, zuccini (which already froze to death once, so it had to be replanted :)), peas, carrots, radishes, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, watermelon, pumpkins (which are huge already), and cantaloupe. We have tons of peppers that have came up in the house, but we are waiting a little while on those. We still have a lot more planting to do, but we absolutely LOVE doing it!!

A week later we noticed our radishes were already growing...

Country Living

Well if don't already know, we are currently living in Riverton Wy. We happened to find this perfect, beautiful house to rent. We are hoping to do a rent-to-own soon. It is on 7 acres, and we absolutely LOVE being out of town, on our own. We are trying to get the yard ready to put in a sprinkler system. One of David's friends from work let us borrow his tractor to try and help us out with the project. I had to take some pictures of David on the tractor....I  thought it was too cute!!
